For three decades, PT Sari Makmur Tunggal Mandiri has been a part of Indonesia’s coffee trade, shaping a story that begins in the volcanic highlands. Founded in 1995, the company grew from a vision of becoming a trusted partner in global commodity supply to a leading exporter of Arabica and Robusta coffee. Its roots are deep in Sumatra, Aceh, and extend to other coffee-growing regions where generations of farmers cultivate under shade canopies that protect biodiversity and preserve soil health.
This is a producer defined by scale and responsibility. With facilities across Medan, Surabaya, Lampung, Makassar, and Aceh, Sarimakmur manages a supply chain that moves thousands of tonnes of green coffee each month. Yet behind the numbers lies a commitment to people and place: farmers receive housing, clean water, healthcare, and education for their children, while conservation areas and ecological pest control safeguard the environment.
They also work with Wahana Estate, a strongly speciality focused farm in North Sumatra, that grows vegetables as well as coffee. They experiment with varietals and processing here, providing a knowledge source on top of everything else.
