Heleph Coffee

Heleph Coffee are a new partner for us in sourcing from Ethiopia, with the first coffees from them landing in Dublin in 2021. Run and owned by Tsegab Ayele, their mission is to provide the finest high-quality coffee beans to their customers worldwide while forging mutually beneficial relationships with the community and the environment that we live in.

The son of a washing station owner (his father, Ayele Tulu has run his own washing station since 2014), his vision extends to more than just producing top grade naturals and washed coffee, aiming to become the leaders in innovation and quality. They own a number of washing stations in the Bona Zuria woreda (district) and oversee all coffee preparation protocols, from harvest to export, ensuring they deliver the highest quality beans.

The Bona Zuria woreda falls under the ECX Sidamo ‘A’ Classification, and with all the washing stations they own located at some of the highest altitudes of Ethiopia compared to others, the coffee is often described as Highland Coffee. The major town of Bona Zuria is Bona Qeblank, and is the homeland of the Sidamo people.
