Cecovasa consists of 4,564 small producers of Quechua language and Aymara. The coop is located in the south eastern part of the Peruvian Andes mountain range nearby Bahuaja-Sonene National Park. The park contains an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna. We support the High Altitude Coffee Project which aims at selecting the best coffees produced by the coop members who have their farms located at 1800 meters above sea level. Average farm size isa round 2 hectares, and most producers cultivate Caturra and Typica varietals. The extreme altitude of the farms produce Coffees with deliate acidity and an abundance of fruity notes.
