Guatemala Nueva Granada Robusta

Cupping notes

Cocoa, sugarcane, nutmeg, creamy.

Description

We have worked with Dieter Nottebohm for many years now, and with the growth in Fine (or Speciality) robusta are happy to offer this offering from his estate in San Marcos.

32 families live on the farm year round, and the manager, Gustavo Herman has been working there for over 50 years. There are two schools provided, alongside a collection of other provisions.

Nueva Granada grow Liberica and Arabica on the farm as well, split by altitude. The robusta comprises of 50% Guatemalan Robusta, 25% Mexican Robusta and 25% Mexican Conilon.

Robusta easily hybridises with itself so it is likely now there is some field hybrids too.
