Description

Born in La Libertad, Julio Sandoval is proud of his agricultural country. In his youth he worked in several farms, before travelling to the USA in search of opportunities. He worked there for a number of years saving money until, in 2012, he had reached enough to return home and embrace his passion of owning a coffee farm. Knowing that his coffee is enjoyed in other countries revitalises his enthusiasm in harvesting good coffee in a sustainable way.

Finca Miralvalle is located on Cerro Verde, La Libertad. The name means look at the valley – which stretches green up to the border with Mexico, visible as a line cut between trees and across the landscape. The mountain is green and the fertile land is filled with several fruit trees providing shade for the coffee, along with Chalum- a nitrogen fixing large canopy tree perfect for shading too.

Coffee is wet processed. Picked ripe and fermented for thirty hours before being washed in spring water and dried on concrete patios under the sun.
