Colombia CGLE Las Margaritas Geisha

Cupping notes

Tropical fruit, pineapple and peach on the nose followed by sugar, red fruit and rum in the cup. Jasmine, buttery and silky body and lingering cocoa mouthfeel.

Description

Cafe Granja La Esperanza (CGLE) introduced Geisha to Colombia first at Cerro Azul, before bringing it to the lush Las Margaritas.

Both bronze and green tip grow on the farm, each as favoured as the other.

Depulped without water, cherries are dried using a mix of patio and silo. Different layers allow for the creation of aromatics and the beans are constantly moved between layers as they dry.
