Cupping notes

Blackberry, lime, apple, chocolate.

Description

Founded in 2016, Agahore Coffee is a multi varietal coffee plantation, washing station and speciality exporter located in the Gitega province of beautiful Burundi.

A water filtration system exists to remove dirt from the Mubarazi river, so they can use the nearby water source for clean processing of their wet coffees.

Lot A0001 is a community lot with contributors from Bukhorka, Kiremaa, and Gaterama.

Cherries for this lot are picked and brought straight to the washing station. After a quick clean cherries undergo a 10 hour dry fermentation followed by a 12 hour wet fermentation before being washed and then soaked for another 10 hours. Parchment coffee is then dried on raised beds in a pyramid shape for a round 2-3 weeks.

Final quality is controlled via a gravity table, colour sorter and final handpicking for any troublesome outliers.
