Brazil Aracaçu Microlot 191

Description

The coffee in this specific microlot was grown on the Talhão do Jatobá plot, at 1030 masl on the farm. Naturally fermented and patio dried over the course of 20 days, it is then rested for 32 days inside the tulhas before drymilling, bagging and shipping.

Rubi is a back crossing between the cultivars Mundo Novo and Catuai originally done in the 60’s in Campinas by the IAC, and introduced to Minas Gerais in the 1970’s. It has undergone several progenies before being released for commercial growth, and so is still relatively new in the make up of plants on farms. Cherries mature slightly earlier, and the larger spacing between leaves allows for greater aeration within the plant. Cherries are small and red, with the beans inside more flattened.
